FranklinWhat (franklinwhat.com) is a free, static website operated by Manu Games LLC that aggregates publicly available information about local events and links out to the original sources. This policy explains what limited information we handle.

1. Information we collect

We collect only the following:

• Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. It automatically collects information such as your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you view, the site you came from, and approximate location, using cookies. We use this only in aggregate. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on or your browser settings; see Google's Privacy Policy.
• Newsletter email. If you choose to subscribe, we collect the email address you provide, used only to send our newsletter and event roundups for Franklin, North Carolina, and the Nantahala. The newsletter runs on beehiiv, Inc., which stores and processes subscriber emails on our behalf as our service provider and does not sell them (see beehiiv's privacy policy). Every email has a one-click unsubscribe, honored promptly and in any event within 10 business days; you can also unsubscribe by emailing [email protected]. Subscribing is voluntary.

2. We do not sell or share your information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. We honor browser-based opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC) where applicable.

3. Children's privacy

FranklinWhat is a general-audience website intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. Although we list family- and child-oriented events, that information is provided for parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.

4. We do not vet events, organizers, or individuals

FranklinWhat aggregates publicly posted event information and links to third-party sources. We do not host, organize, sponsor, supervise, endorse, or vet any event, venue, organizer, or person listed, including those in childcare and kids' programs. Parents and guardians are solely responsible for independently confirming the identity, suitability, and safety of any person or organization providing childcare or activities for their children. 5. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the limited information we hold about you. To exercise any such right, email [email protected] and we will respond as required by applicable law.

6. Data retention and security

We retain newsletter email addresses until you unsubscribe, and analytics data is retained per Google's configured retention period. We take reasonable measures to protect any information we hold, but no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure.
