80th Annual North Carolina Apple Festival

FreeKid-friendly

Downtown Hendersonville shuts its main street for four days over Labor Day weekend to celebrate the county's apple harvest, with hundreds of craft and food vendors, live music, kids' rides, and the King Apple Parade on Monday afternoon. Free to walk in and easily the biggest fall festival within driving distance, so it's worth the trip over.

A local added this one. Not scraped from a calendar — a neighbor told us about it. Details are their best guess; double-check before you head out.
